You may be curious as to why I decided to call my blog, “Walking the Crooked Path to Wonder.”
My life, as does yours, has times of loss and times of great beauty. We make good decisions and we mess up big time. Pain and devastation on the one hand and the most magical of moments on the other. Can’t have one without the other. Life is a yin and yang dance.
Wonderings are musings and questions that provide moments of introspection. One might turn left when right was all mapped out. Pausing and considering are opportunities, but you can’t take advantage of them without having a good think.
Wonder is also moments of awe—could be inspired by the landscape before you, the kindness of a neighbor, your inner strength. Awe is possibility, love, forgiveness, indescribable beauty and the unexpected.
Please join me on the journey.

Thank you, Michele.
It takes tens of thousands of years of dying plant and animal life to create the fertile soil that plants need to gain a purchase, lay down roots and find a place in time to raise their leaves to the sky to live and grow. May your soil be fertile. May your placement be right with the sun. May you find warm breezes to build your strength, hard and gentle rains to quench your thirst, brilliant sun to feed your being and sweet and lovely nights to regather and find rest. You are a wonder Kris! I have so much appreciation for you. Thank you for being in my life.
Bill, You are kind, as always!
Lovely and it’s ok to promote your good thoughts. And reflections.
Thanks Barb. I find that your writing always makes me pause and consider.
