MEET KRIS
Kris Haines-Sharp is a former teacher and school administrator running to represent the City of Ithaca’s newly redistricted 2nd Ward on Common Council. She is currently an Alderperson representing the 5th Ward, having been nominated to fill a vacancy and voted in unanimously by Common Council members.
Kris was born in Jordan and raised in Palestine and Israel before attending college in the United States. These formative years influenced Kris’ world view and her commitment to social justice and lifting the voices of the marginalized.
